Restaurant Alm

A new chapter for the mountain restaurant Alm

The restaurant Alm begun a new chapter in December 2025: It was taken over by the team of the Alpine Hotel Perren. They have great respect for the history of the establishment and will bring fresh ideas to the table. Guests can look forward to authentic Swiss Alpine cuisine, regional specialties, and new experiences such as the “Alpine High Tea.” The Restaurant Alm will thus remain a welcoming meeting place for locals, hikers, skiers, and connoisseurs in the midst of the unique Zermatt mountain world.

Food Concept

The cuisine at Restaurant Alm remains what it has always been: down-to-earth, honest, and deeply rooted in the region. Fresh mountain trout from the restaurant's own pond is now the culinary centerpiece of the menu, complemented by homemade cordon bleu variations and popular Swiss hut classics. Another highlight is the newly introduced “Alpine High Tea,” which delights with sweet and savory creations from the region and is served all day long in a sharing concept.
